The menopause

Menopause is a natural and inevitable stage of life and transition. Every woman is unique and so too is her experience of menopause. There’s no universal solution or single path through this journey, but there are tools, knowledge, and supportive habits that can make it one of empowerment rather than uncertainty.

For too long, menopause has been under-researched, under-discussed and misunderstood. Many women — and their families — have suffered in silence, unsure of what to expect or how to find the right help.

But new research, improved medical training, and broader conversations in the media are shining a light on this important life stage. It’s even becoming part of school curriculums, meaning the next generation of women will grow up informed and prepared.

A recent survey by Professor Joyce Harper from University College London revealed that:

  • 90% of women had never been taught about menopause at school.
  • 60% of women didn’t feel informed about it at all.
  • 30% of women admitted they were “dreading it.”

The more we talk, share, and learn, the more we can approach menopause with confidence instead of fear.

It’s time to reframe menopause and with the right knowledge and support, women can navigate this chapter feeling informed, empowered and in control.
